Twitter Taste LIVE #1 is now in the History Books

Wow... my head is still spinning!  Our event last night went off better than any of us imagined.  Going into last night we had questions as to the logistics of pulling this thing off.  Will there be to many tweets? Will we be able to keep up?  Will there be no tweets?  Will there be negative comments?

The entire night proved to be greatly positive, the pace was quick (maybe a bit too quick), the wines were great and Twitter didn't crash on us!  The comments and questions coming from all over the world were just amazing, these were some of the most entertaining, well written, spot-on tasting comments we've ever seen.  Well done!

For us at www.binendswine.com we can't thank our partners in this venture enough.  Eric Solomon who had no idea what Twitter was when we first approached him, jumped into this head first and had a great time.  Baron Ziegler, Eric's national sales manager did a great job as the go between between myself and Eric, well done Baron!

And then there are the bloggers and other "tweeters" who took part.  This community proved itself to be THE cutting edge of not only the wine world, but also the tech world.  Our co-sponsors, Ryan and Gabriella Opaz (twitter usernames catavino and gabriellaopaz) from www.catavino.net stayed up late over in Barcelona and lit up the screen with amazing comments, stories and tasting notes.

Our other blogging partners all over the country were the backbone of the event!  These folks were  shooting comments and questions out as quickly if not quicker than Eric could get to them.
