Chateau Fuisse- Antoine Vincent
Château Fuissé is located in the heart of the Mâconnais vineyards in southern Burgundy. In this famous region, the Vincent family (owners of the estate since 1852), produce wines of an exceptional quality thanks to the estate's outstanding location.
Included in their estate are vines with an average age of 60 years that are vinified and bottled separately as Vielles Vignes, a remarkably powerful, intense Chardonnay with the capability to age up to 15 years or more in bottle. The "normal" Château Fuissé is also a selection from older vines at least 25 years of age, and as a rule is focused and concentrated, rich yet very firmly held together. From the estate, three further selections are now being made from individual plots or climats: Le Clos, a profound, powerful Chardonnay from the dense clay enclosure behind the chateau; Les Combettes, a suprebly aromatic wine of great finesse from a very stony calcareous clay slope, also within the Fuissé commune; and Les Brules, a due south facing slope "burnt" by the sun from dawn to dusk. All the wines bearing the chateau label are barrel fermented in various oaks. The current winemaker is Jean-Jacques Vincent, great-grandson of the founder. Also a professor of enology, he is as alert to modern innovations as he is loyal to proven traditional methods. Serena Sutcliffe, MW has described him as "one of the most brilliant makers of white Burgundy".

Maison Nicolas Potel: Nicolas Potel
Nicolas Potel is one of a new breed of vinificateurs who are redefining the meaning of négociant in Burgundy. With his father, the highly respected Gérard Potel, who was manager of a well-known domaine in Volnay, he began a négoce house in July 1996. Upon his father's sudden death in October 1997, Nicolas left the domaine and took over the négoce business full time.
In January 1998, Nicolas began to purchase fruit and post-fermentation lots of wine from prestigious domaines. His own relationships with growers and the legacy of his father helped open doors to some of the greatest domaines, even those who normally sell little or nothing except under their own label. As early as 2000, Clive Coates MW was writing that Nicolas "was already a super-star".
