The 2009 Camille Cayran "Le Pas de la Beaume", a Wine Enthusiast Best Buy, is "intense deep purple/black in color. It is very fresh on the nose, with layered aromas of blueberry, blackberry and plum, notes of violets and a hint of black pepper. It is very smooth and persistent across the palate, where bold and vibrant black and red fruits mingle with nuances of licorice, clove and sweet spice. This wine is richly textured, smooth and warm yet well-balanced."
