Dirk Niepoort is one of the great innovators and proponents of quality wine making in the Douro Valley of Portugal. For over 20 years, Dirk has worked to elevate the reputation of his fifth generation winery into the elite class of Port producers while at the same time building a reputation as a groundbreaking trend setter in the crafting of still dry wines.
Redoma is a a blend of local varieties- Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Amarela from older, low yielding vineyards. This small production wine (1500 cases) was aged for 24 months in barrel before bottling. A bold, powerful red wine, with layers of plum and dark cherry fruit, the recognizable notes of dark chocolate and espresso will bring an immediate smile to your face.
