Widely recognized as one of the most talented young wine makers in Spain today, Rafael Palacios came to the Valdeorras (Northwest Spain) in search of old vine Godello vineyards planted among the regions high altitude terraces. Rafael's intuition suggested that old vine Godello was capable of producing world class wine. Rafael's first vintage wine, 2004 As Sortes Godello was named "White Wine of the Year in Spain".
The 2006 Louro do Bolo is a 100% Godello from the same vineyards as "As Sortes" but without the influence of oak. Forward aromas and flavors of cantaloupe and citrus make this wine a terrific spring and summer time refresher.
