This 2007 Cabernet from Australia's Coonawarra district is so easy to enjoy that you might even feel guilty afterwards!
Checking in with a hefty 15% alcohol, this is not for the faint of heart. Fragrant Cassis, black cherry and blackberry swirl from the glass. The wine is full bodied and full throttled with extra ripe fruit. Extremely rich, but true to the Aussie style, not loaded with gripping tannins, but instead sporting a soft, velvet finish.
The Penley name comes from the two family names of the estate owners; Penfolds and Tolley. That's some pretty rich pedigree in Australian wine history!
