His products bottled under the label "The Yard" are all single vineyard wines that showcase Western Australia's premier growing regions. Whispering Hill Vineyard, near Mount Barker, has the ideal "terroir" for producing beautiful, complex, dry Rieslings. Today's wine opens with a nose of grapefruit, lime and a hint of anise. The palate has the characteristic notes of minerals, wet stone and lime that are the hallmarks of a Mount Barker Riesling. It finishes crisp and clean and is an ideal accompaniment to a variety of Asian cuisines as well as fish and chicken dishes. This wine retails for $24 per bottle.
