Marschall Groom Cellars is a very small family winery situated in the famous Barossa Valley region of South Australia. The winery produces three varietals - Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and Zinfandel - under the label GROOM. The Grooms' non-interventionist approach to winemaking - letting the vineyards and the fruit "do the talking" - has resulted in bold and beautifully-crafted wines that reflect the Barossa terroir. Today's Thursday Three, the 2007 Groom Shiraz, is one of the finest Barossa reds we have ever had the pleasure of offering to you. Its solid structure, remarkable concentration and heady mix of dark berry fruits mixed with coffee, earth and spices make it worth so much more than today's $20 per bottle price tag. Check out the great reviews:

"Has some spicy, savory aromas...supple, juicy black fruits and licorice on the palate follow down a similar path, fine tannin to close. Cork finished." -94 points, James Halliday's Wine Companion

"Polished, round and focused, shining its blackberry, cherry, chocolate and cream flavors through the fine tannins to let them glow on the long, vivid finish." - 93 Points, Wine
