Ridge Winery has achieved cult-like status among wine lovers all over the world, and it is easy to understand why. Each and every one of their cuvées is an homage to the marriage of grape and terroir and strikes a seamless balance between power and elegance. You should too - and today's Three-Pack Special, the 2015 Ridge Vineyards Three Valleys Proprietary Red, is a great place to start!

The history of the Ridge Three Valleys began in 2001, its inaugural vintage. The wine contains grapes from a number of Sonoma vineyards. Great care is taken in selecting the fruit, which is hand-harvested, then crushed and fermented on its native yeast, with naturally occurring malolactic fermentation*. Unlike their single-vineyard wines, which reflect the distinctive character of each site, Three Valleys represents the blending of vineyards at its finest. Zinfandel (72%) determines the wine’s varietal character; old-vine Carignane (10%) contributes bright fruit and acidity; Petite Sirah (13%) lends spice, depth of color, and firm tannins; Grenache (5%) adds plump, juicy red fruits and spice. Barrel aged for 12 months before bottling, the 2015 Three Valleys Proprietary Red is medium-to-full-bodied, with aromas of strawberries and baking spice that lead to flavors of blackberries, black raspberries, cherries and hints of spicy vanilla delivered on a silky-smooth palate. Refreshing, balancing acidity on the finish brings length and balance.
